WHY DID WE CHOOSE TO BREED PITBULL PUPPIES?
Although pit bulls have a reputation for being strong and sometimes aggressive, their temperament is that of a loving household pet. Characteristics commonly associated with pit bulls include high energy, loving to please, quick learning ability and willingness to climb. They get along well with humans and other dogs if they’re properly socialized.
Pitbulls are most often seen as family pets these days. They are known for being happy, loving, and intelligent, but with a stubborn or independent streak at times. They are easy to train, but don’t expect your Pitbull to be subservient. They like to think for themselves.
Their reputation for being aggressive or prone to attack comes from the fact that some people mistreat and misuse dogs, often with the intention of dog fighting, and because some pet owners neglect to teach, train and properly socialize their dogs. Improper training can result in an unpredictable dog. As with all dog breeds, pit bulls require training, and their dispositions vary from individual to individual.

Our Breeding Processes and Practices
All of our dogs are fully health tested. Additionally, we only consider breeding partners for our dogs that are fully health tested. Breeding only with health-tested parents is just one part of our breeding practices. Another important aspect involves careful planning to match breeding partners together that can produce puppies that exhibit each parent’s best qualities and minimize introducing undesirable traits, including health issues.
The planning phase of a careful breeding process involves in-depth pedigree research and long strategic discussions with experienced and knowledgeable breeders regarding the pros and cons associated with a specific proposed breeding, including those related to temperament, conformation, and health. This process can take months and even years and require searching the country or world to find the best sire to compliment a dam. When breeding, the goal is to produce a next generation that is better than the parents and one that closely aligns with the “breed standard”.
A breed standard is a set of guidelines that are adopted by a breed’s parent club that describe in words specific observable qualities (breed type) that the breed should exhibit, including qualities related to appearance, movement, and temperament.
